After what is probably my tenth stay at The St. Regis Atlanta, I can confidently say it remains my favorite luxury hotel in the city.
Located in the heart of Buckhead, The St. Regis combines timeless elegance, exceptional service, and resort-style amenities in a way that few Atlanta hotels can. Whether you’re planning a girls’ weekend, celebrating an anniversary, visiting for business, or simply looking for a luxurious staycation, this property consistently delivers an experience that feels special from the moment you arrive.
This most recent stay reminded me exactly why I keep coming back.
Location: In the Heart of Buckhead
One of the things I love most about The St. Regis Atlanta is its location. If you’re flying into Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the hotel is about 18 miles away. Depending on Atlanta traffic, that can mean a quick 30-minute drive or closer to an hour and a half.
Once you arrive, though, you are surrounded by some of the best shopping, dining, and attractions Atlanta has to offer.
Buckhead Village is just a short walk from the hotel and is one of my favorite places to spend an afternoon. Luxury boutiques, beautiful outdoor spaces, and excellent restaurants make it one of the most desirable shopping districts in Atlanta. During this visit, I was excited to see that LoveShackFancy had recently opened its Buckhead location, adding another beautiful shopping destination within walking distance.
Phipps Plaza and Lenox Square are both less than two miles away, while the Atlanta History Center sits directly across the street from the hotel.
If you’re looking to explore beyond Buckhead, attractions such as the Atlanta Botanical Garden, Piedmont Park, and the High Museum of Art are only about 10 to 15 minutes away. The Georgia Aquarium, World of Coca-Cola, SkyView Atlanta, and Centennial Olympic Park can all be reached in about 15 to 20 minutes. Even Stone Mountain Park is an easy day trip from the property.
The Room Worth Booking
We once again stayed in a Grand Deluxe Terrace Guest Room, which has become our room of choice whenever we visit The St. Regis Atlanta.
The standout feature is the spacious furnished terrace, which feels much more like a private patio than a traditional hotel balcony. French doors open onto a beautiful outdoor space complete with two lounge chairs, a dining table, and additional seating.
Unlike a Juliet balcony, this is a true extension of the room and quickly became one of our favorite places to relax throughout the stay.
Each morning we enjoyed coffee outside while overlooking Buckhead, and in the evenings it was the perfect place to unwind before dinner. It’s one of those room features that completely changes the experience and makes the stay feel even more luxurious.
The room itself featured everything you would expect from the St. Regis brand, including plush bedding, luxurious linens, and thoughtful amenities that make it easy to settle in and feel at home.

Timeless Luxury and Exceptional Service
Walking into The St. Regis Atlanta always feels like arriving somewhere special.
The lobby makes an immediate impression with its soaring ceilings, grand double staircase, and classic European-inspired design. While many luxury hotels today lean toward sleek contemporary aesthetics, The St. Regis embraces timeless elegance, and I think that is exactly what makes it so memorable.
The service is equally impressive.
Every member of the staff we encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely eager to help. From the concierge team and valet attendants to the bellmen, pool staff, and even the woman driving the hotel’s Mercedes-Benz house car, every interaction felt polished and professional.
Luxury is often found in the small details, and The St. Regis consistently gets those details right.

The Best Hotel Pool in Atlanta
One of the biggest reasons I continue to return to The St. Regis Atlanta is the pool.
After settling into our room, we headed outside for lunch and were immediately reminded why this space is so special. The pool sits within a stunning enclosed courtyard surrounded by elegant architecture, fountains, lush landscaping, and rows of cushioned loungers.
The atmosphere feels more like a luxury Mediterranean resort than a hotel in the middle of Atlanta.
Pool attendants are always available to assist with towels, seating, and beverages, making the entire experience feel effortless. We enjoyed lunch by the bar and found ourselves lingering for hours simply because the setting was so beautiful.
In my opinion, there is no other hotel pool in Atlanta that compares. It has a polished, country club-like atmosphere that feels refined without ever feeling stuffy.

Dining, Cocktails, and Breakfast on the Terrace
One of my favorite memories from this stay was enjoying breakfast on our terrace each morning.
There is something undeniably luxurious about ordering room service, opening the French doors, and enjoying breakfast outdoors before the city fully wakes up.
As evening approaches, the hotel takes on a completely different energy.
The St. Regis Bar became one of Buckhead’s most sophisticated gathering places. Guests gather around the fireplace and intimate seating areas while enjoying cocktails in a setting that feels both lively and elegant.
The property is also home to Atlas and The Garden Room, two of Atlanta’s most popular dining destinations. Whether you’re staying at the hotel or simply visiting for dinner, both restaurants are worth experiencing.

A Spa Experience Worth Booking
No stay at The St. Regis feels complete without a visit to the spa.
At the St. Regis spa complimentary refreshments are apart of the experience, so you never have to feel awkward about asking, guests are offered French macarons, chocolate truffles, and a St. Germain spritz.
During this trip, I booked a massage and was reminded why the spa remains one of my favorites in Atlanta. The space is calming, beautifully designed, and every bit as luxurious as the rest of the hotel.
It was the perfect way to continue relaxing after my massage and one of those thoughtful touches that elevates the entire experience.

The Little Details That Set It Apart
One amenity that often goes overlooked is the complimentary Mercedes-Benz house car service.
During our stay, we used the service for dinner and shopping, and it made getting around Buckhead incredibly convenient. It’s a wonderful perk and another example of the thoughtful service that defines the St. Regis experience.
Whether it’s the house car, the attentive pool attendants, or the personalized service throughout the property, The St. Regis excels at creating moments that feel effortless and memorable.
Is The St. Regis Atlanta Worth It?
People often ask whether The St. Regis Atlanta is worth the price, especially when rates can start at $1,000 per night.
For me, the answer is absolutely yes.
You’re not simply paying for a room. You’re paying for exceptional service, one of the best hotel pools in the city, luxurious accommodations, outstanding dining, a beautiful spa, and an overall experience that feels elevated from start to finish.
After many stays, The St. Regis Atlanta continues to exceed my expectations and remains my favorite luxury hotel in Atlanta.
