If you are planning a luxury girls trip in Georgia or a pre-wedding getaway, The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee is one of the best places to do it. This trip was all about slowing down, being present, and celebrating the bride in a way that felt effortless but still special.
We stayed at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, and it ended up being the perfect mix of relaxing and elevated. Everything from the lake views to the Club Lounge made the experience feel thoughtful without being over the top. It is the kind of place where you do not need a packed itinerary to feel like you are having a great trip.

Sunday Itinerary: Arrival, Club Lounge, and Dinner by the Lake
We arrived Sunday around noon and, even though our room was not ready yet, we headed straight to the Club Lounge for lunch, which is something I highly recommend if you have access. It made the entire trip feel effortless from the start. Lunch included pimento cheese sandwiches, ham and cheese melts, chips, and a few other light options that were simple but perfect after traveling. Afterward, we spent the afternoon at the pool overlooking Lake Oconee, which ended up being one of our favorite parts of the resort. The atmosphere felt calm and upscale, and it was the kind of place where you could easily spend hours relaxing without ever feeling rushed.
By the time we finished at the pool, our room was finally ready, and guest services had already set up the decorations I sent ahead along with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. It was such a thoughtful touch and immediately set the tone for the entire girls weekend. Before dinner, we stopped back by the Club Lounge for appetizers and drinks, which quickly became part of our routine and made the evenings feel much more relaxed instead of rushing around to reservations.

For dinner, we went to Gaby’s by the lake, which is one of the best spots at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds for a casual dinner with a view. Sitting right on the water at sunset made it feel like a true vacation dinner. We ordered the southern cornbread, quesatacos, and lobster grilled cheese, and everything was really good. After dinner, we ended the night with an 8:30 reservation at Oconee Cove, the hotel’s speakeasy-style experience. It is an intimate, immersive setting where a mixologist crafts custom cocktails right in front of you. You can request something specific, or let him create something unique based on your preferences, which made it such a fun and memorable way to end our first full day.

Monday Itinerary: Breakfast, Pool Time, and Boat Day on Lake Oconee
Monday morning started with breakfast in the Club Lounge, which is easily one of the biggest perks of staying here. The spread included sausage, smoked salmon, grits, French toast, yogurt bowls, and fresh fruit, and it felt much more elevated than a typical hotel breakfast. It gave us such a slow, easy start to the day. After breakfast, we walked through the signature shops on the property before heading back to the pool. One important tip if you are visiting The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee is to get to the pool early if you want a good chair because they fill up quickly, especially on weekends.

We spent most of the day at the pool, which is truly one of the highlights of the resort. Between the lake views, food and drink service, and the overall atmosphere, it feels like a true luxury resort experience. Later that afternoon, we had a boat scheduled through Young Harris Boat Rentals, located directly on the property, and it ended up being one of the best parts of the entire weekend. Being out on Lake Oconee gave us a completely different perspective of the resort, and having a captain made everything feel easy and stress-free. If you are planning a trip here, I would definitely recommend booking a boat ahead of time since it is one of the most popular activities at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee.

Linger Longer Steakhouse Review (Honest Take)
Dinner that night was at Linger Longer Steakhouse, one of the main restaurants on the property. The atmosphere felt like a classic steakhouse and was definitely a little more formal than some of the other dining options at the resort. We ordered a variety of dishes including ribeye, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, asparagus, French onion soup, wedge salad, and the bacon on a wire. Unfortunately, the food was not our favorite, and the service did not really match the level of the rest of the experience at the resort.

If you are deciding where to eat at The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, I would personally skip Linger Longer and try Amore del Lago instead. It is a newer restaurant located directly inside the hotel, which makes it much more convenient since you do not have to take a golf cart to get there. We did not get a chance to try it ourselves, but based on the location alone and the fact that it is newer, it would probably be the better option to prioritize. Thankfully, when we got back to the Club Lounge that night, the staff surprised the bride with champagne and beignets, which completely turned the night around and ended up being one of the most memorable moments of the trip.

Tuesday Itinerary: Spa Morning and Departure
Tuesday morning, we had one last breakfast in the Club Lounge with pancakes, bacon, eggs, smoked salmon, fruit, and breakfast potatoes.
After breakfast, we spent time at the spa before heading home. If you are planning a girls trip to The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee, I highly recommend making time for the spa. It is quiet, relaxing, and the perfect way to end the trip.
